Becoming a Nation of Priests: Our Obligation as Caretakers

By LYDIA BLOOM

Rabbinical student Lydia Bloom, in Parashat Tazria, suggests that we must not only help those who are sick to heal physically but also emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. We should talk to those who are ill, listen attentively to them, and then help them to heal at every level possible. Likewise, we should attend to the sick in our larger global community. Only then will we be doing God's work.

By RABBI RODERICK YOUNG

By RABBI DAVID ROSENN
